These are the companies that I have worked for/with and what my responsiblites were.  Most time I became the Jack-of-all-trades.

2005-Current                  Greenville Forest Products, Inc           AL/GA/FL

IT Director/Solutions Developer

§     Responsible for every IT related task/issue of 3 Companies.

§     Development of new technology integration including: Software, Hardware, Implementation, Training and Support.

§     Provide in-house support to employees and externally to clients on site.

§     Perform maintenance on all network and Information Technology assets including, but not limited to printers, workstations, servers, and networking equipment.

§     Designed, Developed and Integrated 4 custom application packages.  The main package, StormTrak has processed over $42mil in work tickets and has experienced 0% data loss/corruption with 2 years in operation.

§     Developed emergency response procedures to places data and voice communications to teams in desolate areas after Natural Disasters occur.

§     Implemented and support an offsite Terminal Services solution that 50% of current employees utilize on a daily basis.  We have experienced 0% downtime in 2 years in operation other than local communication lines.

§     Responsible for writing technical documents for the MIS department pertaining to proposed solutions and revisions of current documents.

 

2004-2005                     BAE Systems, Inc.           Fort Walton Beach, FL

Network Administrator

§     Responsible for 35+ Microsoft Windows servers running mission critical services.

§     Support 250+ end users with Microsoft Windows workstations.

§     Provide in-house support to employees and externally to clients on site.

§     Perform maintenance on all network and Information Technology assets including, but not limited to printers, workstations, servers, and networking equipment.

§     Member of the Active Directory Migration team

Customer Support Specialist

§     Member of a technical support team that provided support of hardware and software to over 2000 clients running accounting software, Point of Sale and reporting software.  Client software included but is not limited to: Cobol and Visual Basic Code running against SCO Unix and Windows 2000 and 2003 Servers.

§     Provided in-house support to co-workers dealing with employee workstations and enterprise servers.

§     Designed and implemented the corporate website giving current and future clients access to information and updates dealing with our products.

§     Provided consulting to the software team to improve the efficiency of the code while allowing it to run in several different solution environments.

§     Acquired DBA role managing IBM UDB DB2 Databases. 

§     Server setup and installation of SCO Unix and Windows Server platforms.

§     Designed and implemented new procedures for Client upgrade/install of our recommended server and software packages.

§     Member of Oracle Database Disaster recovery team.

§     Migration of Novell/ NT4.0 servers running Oracle 7.3.4 to 2000 Server running Oracle 9i.

§     Implemented SMS 2.0 on LAN consisting of 2 servers and 8 workstations to deploy anti-virus updates, software updates, and new roll-outs.

§     Design and implementation of three statewide, shared router networks for law enforcement agencies to meet the 2005 NCIC-2000 compliance.

§     Design and implementation of Client site networks including security and redundancy.

§     General troubleshooting with hardware and software issues.

§     Employee/ Client training of hardware and software use.

§     Promoted to Network Engineer and Level 3 Support.

§     Responsible for In-house server farm including ADS, DNS and IIS 5.0

§     Designed and Implemented Intranet using HTML, ASP and PHP software, to allow the technical support team to have better access to client information and tools needed to support them.

§     Assisted with the design and implementation of a fully integrated client management system with ASP.Net front-end.
